I’m aboard the boat that is life.
And I’ve lost both oars.
I’m being pushed and shoved by the mighty waves.
Conquered by the ocean.
The noise is deafening and the silence overwhelming.
All of a sudden everything lays still.
And I start to sink.
It started out with a single drop and continued a never ending stream.
I sat perfectly still and watched myself drown.
The deeper I sank the lighter I felt.
And as everything else faded away,
I saw a light as bright as day.
And smiled for the first time in ages.
Because all the chains had finally broke and I was free.
